Bruno Hubert

Bruno Hubert is Libra Room's artist in residence and artistic director. You can catch him for dinner time playing solo from mondays to thursday, every week. Usually from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Bruno is a uniqueand amazing piano player. He is usually described as

"Canada's best kept secret".

Bruno was born in Maniwaki, Quebec, and moved to Vancouver

25 years ago to pursuit is dreams of playing music everyday.

Featuring searing lead vocals by frontman/bass player Ian Beaty (Greenroom/Werewolves of Creston), the Brown Paper Bag brings freshness and improvisation to old Soul and RnB favourites from the Motown and Stax catalogues, in addition to playing some of Beaty's soul/blues originals.  Fans of Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Albert King, Aretha Franklin, and Ray Charles will notice the sincerity and passion with which these heart rending soul numbers are delivered by this hard-working ensemble.
